Nathan Mironovich Milstein (1904 - 1992) was a Russian-born American virtuoso violinist.
Widely considered one of the finest violinists of the 20th century, Milstein is certainly a leading light of the European (the Russian one) violin tradition and sure enough he was to be considered gifted due to his exceptional technique and his elegance.
His discography is really not very wide considering his long and acclaimed career: he performed (at a high level) into his mid 80s.
For this reason the present recording will certainly result very interesting to music lovers and collectors.
This long duration Cd is featuring 3 masterpieces of the Slavic concert repertoire starting from a Milstein specialty number such as the wonderful Glazunov’s concert in La minore recorded on 1957 with the Pittsburg Symphony Orchestra and conducted by William Steinberg..
